State Issues

The 2015 Texas Legislature is history; Teresa Beckmeyer provided us an overview of the 2015 legislative session at the August 2015 monthly meeting.  We learned what we can do to influence existing activities and potential future leaders including the Speaker of the House position.

Think about it: In terms of choice, even welfare and food stamp recipients have a choice of where to spend their monies, why not education?  It is all about competition.  Competition is good for the parent, student, and Texas!  Texas students do not have a choice on where they attend public schools.  It is based upon where they live!
